Dance Connection is dedicated to developing the whole person with dance as a contributing aspect of the learning process. Our goal as educators is not only to train dancers, but also teach and practice discipline, honesty, trust, responsibility, commitment, dedication, team work, self-control, respect, and perseverance. All with a smile and joy! Dance is heartfelt, and we hope that each dancer’s love, passion, and desire to succeed in dance will help them achieve their goals in life. Dance Connection Company Dancers represent the most dedicated dancers at Dance Connection. Each dancer is expected to strive for their best in dance excellence, as well as become mentors and role models to other dancers at the studio.

Dance Connection Performing Company
The Dance Connection Performing Company is a premier performing experience for serious dancers between the ages of 7-18. The Company includes Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet/Pointe, and Hip Hop dance styles. At the advanced level, these dancers are interested in pursuing dance in higher education and/or the professional industry. Selection is by audition. All company dancers are required to enroll in the Intensive related to their performance/competition style of dance: Ballet Intensive, June 10-28, DC Intensive, August 5-9.

Please note: Ballet will not be included in DCPC for the 2025/2026 season. Dancers interested in additional performance opportunities for ballet should audition for Ballet Company or Junior Preparatory Ballet, depending on age and level. DCPC and Ballet Company will work together to create mutually compatible scheduling for dancers in both companies.
Placements for levels of jazz, contemporary and tap will be assigned based on your audition as well. Levels will NOT automatically carry over from the 2024-2025 season, nor will all kids advance in every level from the previous years placement.
Company dancers are cast in several small and large group routines in various dance styles as well as solo, duo, or trio routines. Our Company attends local dance conventions and training workshops, and regional dance competitions. They attend a national competition every other year.
Dance Connection Ballet Company and Trainee Company
The purpose of Dance Connection Ballet Company is to serve as a training ground for the young dancer who seeks a pre-professional ballet environment. Dance Connection Ballet Company provides superior performance training for these young dancers and cultivates a public awareness and appreciation of ballet. DCBC is a full member company of The Ballet Alliance.
Dance Connection Hip Hop Training Krews
DC Hip Hop Training Krews encourage an elevated level of hip hop performance and dance training at the Junior and Senior level with our professional Hip Hop staff. Training in other dance styles is optional. This group is selected by invitation or audition in the spring for the next season for enrolled students in DC hip hop classes.
Dance Connection Dance Team (DCDT)
Our Dance Teams focus on performance and team building. It gives students the opportunity to work with professional choreographers, gain additional performance experience, and expand their knowledge of jazz dance in a primarily noncompetitive environment. Dancers should have prior jazz dance training, and should love to dance. Registration is open online for our Jazz Team, Teen Jazz Team, and Teen Contemporary Team. Like our Performing Company, the dancers receive a scholarship rate on unlimited classes to help further their love of dance. No audition required; register for the Team class with Fall registration. All team registration closes on 10/1.
Dance Connection Connectors
Connectors are a group of younger dancers (ages 6-8) interested in furthering their dance ability requiring a commitment above and beyond a recreational dancer including participation in conventions and performances in community events. Selection is by invitation only based on teacher recommendations.
Kinder Connectors is designed for the kindergarten and first grade child who loves to dance!
